The Trotter Family

My Great-Great Grandfather, Sam Trotter, settled in Pike County in 1850, and the Trotters have been here ever since. Our family has farmed, timbered, and cared for over 5,000 acres of beautiful Alabama timberland. Following our family tradition, my brothers and I were taught to hunt  deer, turkey, dove, quail, rabbits, and other small game as we grew up in the late 1960s and early 1970s. We quickly developed a love of the land and the wildlife, and have continued to hunt over the last 50 years.  We established Trotter Lodge in 1985, with mainly family and friends joining us for our number one passion: deer hunting. Our new lodge was built in 2006, and we expanded to guided hunts.
